On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Interim Master Scheduler to join their team. The Master Scheduler plays a pivotal role in consolidating all demand coming from the sales team via the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process and allocating it to the different internal and external production centers/sources. This role requires a deep understanding of demand planning, production scheduling, and capacity management to ensure that production activities are aligned with sales forecasts and customer requirements.
Demand Consolidation and Scheduling:
Consolidate demand forecasts received from the sales team through the S&OP process.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive master production schedule that aligns with sales forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacities.
Resource Allocation:
Allocate production tasks to internal and external production centers based on capacity, capabilities, and material availability.
Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials to meet production schedules.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with sales, production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure a cohesive approach to meeting customer demands.
Facilitate communication between all stakeholders to resolve scheduling conflicts and prioritize production tasks.
Capacity Planning and Analysis:
Monitor and analyze production capacities to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for efficiency improvements.
Adjust the master production schedule as needed to optimize resource utilization and meet delivery targets.
Reporting and Continuous Improvement:
Generate and present reports on production schedules, capacity utilization, and delivery performance.
Continuously assess and refine scheduling practices to improve accuracy, efficiency, and responsiveness to changes in demand.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience as a Master Scheduler or in a similar role within manufacturing or production planning.
Strong understanding of S&OP processes, demand planning, and production scheduling principles.
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to manage complex datasets.
Proficient in ERP and production planning software.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Experience in medium / high volume metal manufacturing industry
